A hit-and-run and a shooting brought traffic on the southbound lanes of Interstate 15 to a stop near 2100 North in Lehi on Monday morning.
According to a spokesman for the Utah Highway Patrol, two people were wounded — one of them critically. He said that a hit-and-run preceded the shooting, which occurred at about 8:30 p.m.
One person was in custody, and there is no danger to the public, according to UHP.
All the southbound lanes were closed on I-15 while state troopers began their investigation. Multiple lanes were reopened about 9:30 a.m., according to the Utah Department of Transportation, and “minor delays” continued through mid-morning.
